Dr. Mohammad Tahir, Associate Professor, Department of Management Sciences, participated in a two-day workshop titled “Accreditation Strategies - Understanding the Revised NBEAC Accreditation Standards," organized by the National Business Education Accreditation Council (NBEAC), Higher Education Commission (HEC), on 28-29 September 2026 at Lahore Business School, University of Lahore (UOL), Lahore.
Prof. Dr. Farooq-e-Azam Cheema, Provost of the Karachi School of Business and Leadership (KSBL) and the Vice Chairman of National Business Education Accreditation Council, conducted the workshop, focusing on the revised NBEAC Accreditation Standards and their application within institutional settings. The sessions provided participants with an overview of the revised accreditation framework, with particular emphasis on accreditation preparedness, self-assessment, documentation, evidence collection, quality assurance, institutional compliance, and continuous improvement.
The workshop also highlighted the importance of translating accreditation standards into effective institutional practices and strengthening mechanisms for preparing, implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving quality initiatives. Dr. Tahir’s participation provided an opportunity to further enhance his understanding of contemporary accreditation requirements and contribute to quality enhancement initiatives within the Department.
