Established in 2005 as one of the five founding departments within the Faculty of Basic Sciences at the University of Wah, the Department of Mathematics has developed a strong tradition of academic excellence, impactful research, and meaningful contribution to society. Mission

The Department of Mathematics is committed to delivering high-quality education in mathematics through excellence in teaching, research, and professional practice. We aim to develop graduates with strong analytical, computational, and problem-solving skills while advancing knowledge in pure mathematics, applied mathematics, computational mathematics, artificial intelligence, and data science.

Our mission is to prepare students to achieve their professional aspirations and to contribute effectively to academia, industry, government, and society by applying mathematical thinking to real-world challenges.
