Tuesday, September 8, 2026

Department of Education, University of Wah, organized a National Symposium titled “The Prophetic Model of Education and Leadership: Lessons from the Seerah ﷺ for Character, Compassion, and Human Development” on 08 September 2026 during the auspicious month of Rabi-ul-Awwal.

The symposium provided an academic and spiritual platform to explore the relevance of the Seerah ﷺ to contemporary education, character building, ethical leadership, compassion, and human development. Dr. Mussarrat Malik, Guest Speaker, delivered a keynote on “The Seerah ﷺ as a Guide for Education, Character Building, and Ethical Leadership,” while Dr. Ghulam Murtaza addressed the symposium theme. Both speakers highlighted the role of the Prophetic model in nurturing morally responsible, compassionate, and visionary individuals.

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Rizwan, Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, appreciated the successful organization of the symposium, contributions of the speakers and the organizing team. Certificates were presented to Dr. Mussarrat Malik and Dr. Ghulam Murtaza as Guest Speakers, Dr. Mehwish Jabeen as Focal Person, and Ms. Uzma Khalid Ghori as Organizer.

The symposium concluded underscoring UW’s commitment to values-based education and ethical leadership.
