Wah Engineering College, University of Wah, organized a seminar on Anti-Drug and Tobacco Awareness on 17 November 2025. The session featured Mr. Maaz Ahmed, lecturer, Department of Psychology, and focal person for the Anti-Drug and Tobacco campaign, as the guest speaker.
The seminar aimed to educate students and faculty on the harmful effects of drug and tobacco use and to promote a healthy, drug-free lifestyle on campus. Mr. Maaz highlighted the physical, psychological, and social impacts of addiction and shared strategies for prevention and rehabilitation. Engr. Waqas Javid, Deputy Director, Student Affairs, Dr. Nouman, Chairperson, Psychology Department, and Deputy Registrar-WEC, Major Waseem, along with faculty members and students. The seminar concluded with participants taking a pledge to maintain a drug- and tobacco-free university environment.
