Department of Chemical Engineering, University of Wah, organized an engaging and knowledge-enriching webinar on “Mitigating Industrial Emissions: The Chemical Engineer’s Role in Disaster Prevention” on 16 September 2025. The session, part of the series on Disaster Management and Climate Resilience (SDG-13), featured Dr. Muhammad Sarfraz (PhD, Chemical Engineering) as the keynote speaker.
Dr. Sarfraz highlighted the critical role of emission control in reducing industrial disasters and shared insights on advanced adsorption technologies for capturing harmful pollutants. He also emphasized the importance of sustainable practices to ensure resilient and environmentally responsible industrial operations. The webinar, hosted by Dr. Zeeshan Azam, attracted active participation from faculty, engineers, and researchers.
