University of Wah, in collaboration with the Women Development Department (WDD), Government of Punjab, organized an awareness session on “Skills Development through Ambassador Program” and “Entrepreneurial Youth Pitch Competition” on 16 September 2025. The initiative aimed to empower female students through capacity building, leadership development, and entrepreneurship opportunities.
The session was graced by the WDD delegation, including Mr. Faheem Akhtar, Manager Projects/Initiatives, SPIU-WDD, and Mr. Mazhar, Gender Monitoring Specialist, WDD, along with Prof. Dr. Uzma Ghazanfar, Focal Person WDD-UW and Dean, Faculty of Basic Sciences. Faculty members, chairpersons, Principal, Mashal Degree College, and female students from both UW and Mashal Degree College also participated.
Addressing the audience, Mr. Faheem Akhtar highlighted WDD’s youth-focused initiatives under the Annual Development Program, emphasizing skill enhancement, women’s rights advocacy, and entrepreneurship promotion. He further briefed participants on the thematic areas and eligibility criteria of both programs. The session concluded with an interactive discussion and a group photograph, marking an insightful and inspiring engagement for future women leaders.
