University of Wah (UW) students participated in the Uraan Pakistan Fellowship Program 2025, organized by the Ministry of Planning, Development & Special Initiatives, from 12 to 20 August 2025, in Islamabad. The fellowship was designed to empower young leaders by enhancing their leadership skills, providing exposure to policymaking processes, and deepening their understanding of national development frameworks.
Representing the University, Mr. Afzaal Ahmed, Cabinet Member of the Youth Peace and Development Corps (YPDC), UW Chapter, was nominated to join the diverse cohort of fellows. Throughout the program, fellows took part in training sessions, workshops, and study visits to key national institutions. Highlights included an orientation session with Federal Minister Mr. Ahsan Iqbal, a policy and security workshop led by NACTA experts, a study visit to the National Assembly, leadership development trainings, a Cultural Day celebration at PNCA, and interactive dialogues with governance representatives.
The fellowship concluded with a grand closing ceremony, celebrating the achievements and contributions of all participants. The active participation of UW students in this national platform shows the University’s dedication to preparing future leaders who are committed to Pakistan’s sustainable development and progress.
