Cybersecurity students from the Department of Computer Science, University of Wah (UW), participated in the Digital Pakistan Cybersecurity Hackathon 2026 – Hands-on Workshop, organized by Ignite - National Technology Fund, Islamabad from 10 to 12 September 2026.
The three-day event provided participants with practical exposure to Penetration Testing, Networking, Security Operations Centre (SOC), Digital Forensics, Malware Analysis, and Mobile Forensics. Eight UW students secured positions among Top 30 participants in the Cybersecurity Hackathon following practical assessments and time-based quizzes, qualifying for the next advanced stage. The students' rankings are as follows: Mr. Aftab Ahmed placed 8th, Mr. Sultan Sikandar 11th, Mr. Ali Hamza 12th, Mr. Azfar Waqas 18th, Mr. Ibrar Ul Hassan 19th, Ms. Salwa Mir 22nd, Ms. Sumbal 24th, and Mr. Saim Ali Shahid 29th.
