A faculty training session titled “OBE Implementation in Practice: A Practical Guide for University Teachers” was organized on 28 September 2026. The session aimed to enhance faculty members’ understanding and practical application of Outcome-Based Education (OBE) in teaching and assessment.
Dr. Muhammad Saleem, Chairperson, Department of Chemical Engineering, served as the resource person and delivered a comprehensive presentation on implementing OBE from a teacher’s perspective. He discussed teaching and learning in accordance with Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs), developing OBE-aligned question papers, assessment practices, and uploading students’ results in line with OBE requirements.
Chairpersons, departmental focal individuals, and faculty members from the Faculty of Basic Sciences actively participated in the session. The interactive discussion provided attendees an opportunity to share practical challenges, seek clarification, and discuss various aspects of OBE-based teaching, assessment, and result compilation.
The session concluded with an emphasis on strengthening the effective implementation of OBE practices across academic programs at UW.
