Prof. Dr. Jameel-Un Nabi, Vice Chancellor, University of Wah, participated in an interactive session held as part of the 04-day In-Service Summer Refresher Course for Faculty organized by Modernage Public School & College, Abbottabad.
During the session, Prof. Dr. Jameel-Un Nabi shared his valuable insights on the topic “From Rote Learning to Research: Fixing K-12 Classrooms to Build Pakistan’s Future.” He emphasized the importance of shifting from traditional memorization-based teaching approaches towards inquiry-driven and research-oriented learning environments. He highlighted the crucial role of teachers as facilitators who inspire critical thinking, creativity, confidence, and effective communication skills among students.
Prof. Dr Jameel also stressed the need for educators to remain committed to their profession and continuously enhance their teaching practices to prepare students for future challenges. The discussion was moderated by Ms. Sumeera Wahid, Co-principal of Modernage Public School & College in Abbottabad. The session provided faculty members with meaningful perspectives on modern pedagogical approaches and the significance of developing future-ready classrooms.
