Department of Biosciences, University of Wah, organized a guest lecture titled “Manuscript Writing: From Preparation to Publication (Skills, Tactics & Cautions)” on 06 August 2026. Prof. Muhammad Wajid Ullah, an accomplished academic and researcher holding a PhD in Biochemical Engineering from Kyungpook National University, South Korea, was the guest speaker for the session.
The lecture aimed to enhance the scientific writing and research publication skills of undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate students and faculty members. Prof. Muhammad Wajid Ullah provided valuable insights into the manuscript preparation process, including research paper structure, scientific writing techniques, journal selection, peer-review procedures, publication ethics, and common challenges faced during manuscript submission. Drawing on his academic and research experience, the speaker highlighted effective strategies for improving manuscript quality, increasing publication success, and maintaining research integrity and ethical standards.
The session concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, where participants actively engaged with the speaker and sought guidance on various aspects of academic writing and scholarly publishing. The lecture proved highly beneficial in strengthening participants’ research and publication capabilities.
