University of Wah (UW), Pakistan, and INFLPR, Romania, have signed a partnership agreement to foster academic and research collaboration. The agreement was signed during a virtual ceremony held on 30 April 2026. Representatives from both institutions participated in the online event, marking the beginning of a long-term collaborative relationship.

A major focus of the collaboration will be advanced materials and nanotechnology research, supported by the state-of-the-art laboratories available at both UW and INFLPR. Under the agreement, both institutions have committed to jointly conducting research and innovation activities, with equal sharing of ownership, intellectual property rights, and industrial outcomes arising from collaborative work.
From UW, the ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Uzma Ghazanfar (Dean, Faculty of Basic Sciences), Prof. Dr. Amjad Hassan (Director, Office of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization), Dr. Sadiq Usman (Chairperson, Department of Physics), and INFLPR was represented by Dr. Liviu Marian Duta, Senior Scientific Researcher.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Dr. Uzma Ghazanfar highlighted the significant potential for collaborative scientific research between the two institutions. Prof. Dr. Amjad Hassan emphasized the importance of international partnerships, reaffirming UW’s commitment to maintaining active collaborations and advancing research excellence.
