Directorate of Student Affairs, University of Wah, in collaboration with the Anti-Narcotics Force Pakistan (ANF), organized an Anti-Tobacco and Drug Awareness Seminar on 28 April 2026, to promote a healthy, drug-free lifestyle among students.
The keynote speaker, Dr. Zara Kiran, Medical Officer at MATRRC, ANF RD North, delivered an informative session on the medical and psychological impacts of drug and tobacco abuse, along with prevention strategies and positive lifestyle choices. ANF officials, including Mr. Aamir Khurshid and Ms. Ayesha Zaman, also attended the event.
University representatives, including Dr. Amjad Hassan (Director ORIC), Major Shehzad Ahmed (In Charge, Student Affairs), Ms. Shehla Nazmeen, and Engr. Waqas Javid, Deputy Directors of Student Affairs, UW & WEC, respectively, were also present at the seminar.
Dr. Amjad Hassan presented a shield to the ANF team in recognition of their contributions. The event concluded with an interactive Q&A session, where students pledged to support anti-drug initiatives.
