Students from BASE College visited the University of Wah on 10th February for an educational tour, where they were warmly welcomed by Dr. Fawad Ahmad. The visit aimed to provide students with hands-on exposure to advanced scientific research and laboratory practices.
Dr. Fawad Ahmad guided the students through the University’s laboratory complex, including the Chemistry, Physics, and Biology laboratories. During the tour, research students Ms. Hina Saleem (supervised by Dr. Hizba Waheed), Ms. Ayesha Aftab (Dr. Humera Razzaq), and Ms. Saba Iftikhar (Dr. Irum Fatima) shared insights into their ongoing research projects, which focused on water decontamination, corrosion protection, and soil analysis. In addition, Dr. Hameed Ul Haq, a renowned scientist from Université de Opale Dunkerque, France, highlighted the importance of chemistry in modern research and discussed the admission procedures for European universities, providing valuable guidance for aspiring students interested in international studies.
Later, Dr. Fawad Ahmad arranged a visit to the Hi-Tech Laboratory, where students learned about advanced characterization techniques and their applications in scientific research. The tour concluded with a comprehensive overview of the University’s academic environment and facilities, offering students an enriching experience and a deeper understanding of higher education and research opportunities.
