Wah Engineering College (WEC), University of Wah, and The Institution of Engineers, Pakistan - Rawalpindi-Islamabad Centre (IEP-RIC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 07 October 2025 to strengthen academic, professional, and industrial linkages.
The MoU was formally signed by Prof. Dr. Adnan Tariq, Principal WEC/Dean Faculty of Engineering, and Engr. Abdur Rab, Chairman IEP-RIC, on behalf of their respective institutions. The ceremony was graced by Prof. Dr. Jameel-Un Nabi, Vice Chancellor, University of Wah, and attended by the core body members of IEP-RIC, all departmental Chairpersons of WEC, and senior faculty members.
Under this MoU, both institutions have agreed to collaborate in several strategic areas, including the establishment of an IEP Faculty Chair and an IEP Student Chapter at the University of Wah. The partnership also includes the development of professional training programs for engineers, and the joint organization of seminars, conferences, and workshops focusing on emerging technologies and management tools. Furthermore, it envisions facilitation of industry projects, student internship placements, and technical mentorship for the University’s Business Incubation Centre.
This collaborative initiative represents a significant milestone in bridging the gap between academia and industry. It aims to foster innovation, enhance professional competence, and promote a culture of continuous learning and excellence among the engineers and students of Wah Engineering College.
