Program Details

The Master of Science (MS) degree in Management Sciences is 2-year programme envisioned to provide an intensive, rich, and innovative understanding of the intersection between business fundamentals and a focused specialization area. The MS in Management Sciences at the Wah Business School will allow students to build a sound foundation of the core concepts in Finance, Marketing and Human Resource Management to ensure up-to-date training for entry or progression in Management careers. The programme aims to equip students with fundamental tools, knowledge, and expertise to effectively deal with contemporary business issues. It enables students to comprehend and operate within the increasing complexities and innovations in the field which organizations face.

PROGRAM STRUCTURE

University of Wah as per the guidelines of HEC offers MS Management Sciences of 32 credit hours. Program Structure of MS Management Sciences is as follows:-

  • Eligibility Criteria:

    1. Minimum 16 years of education in relevant business education field from HEC recognized University such as BBA/BSAF/B.COM (4-Year) and MBA (2 Years) etc.

    2. Minimum CGPA of 2.00 on the scale of 4.0 or 50% marks.

    3. UW Entry Test, GAT-General (Minimum 50% Marks) or GRE-General (Minimum 50 Percentile) and Interview.

a. Merit Based Scholarship

1st 2.75 - 2.99 / 4.00 in BS/MSC or equivalent (25% tuition fee)
3.00 - 3.49 / 4.00 in BS/MSC or equivalent (50% tuition fee)
3.50 - 3.85 / 4.00 in BS/MSC or equivalent (75% tuition fee)
3.86 - 4.00 / 4.00 in BS/MSC or equivalent (100% tuition fee)
2nd 3.50 - 3.74 out of 4.00 (30% tuition fee)
3.75 - 4.00 out of 4.00 (50% tuition fee)
3rd & onwards Full fee — No Scholarship

Note: Graduate Assistants (GA's) are not eligible for Merit Scholarship.


b. Fee Waiver for Alumni of UW

• Up to 15% Tuition Fee Concession to the Alumni of UW with no discipline case in the previous semester.


c. MS Assistantship

Qualification BS/MSc (Enrolled in MS)
Assistantship • A total of 1 assistantship will be offered per year/department based on merit.
Eligibility Criteria:
  • CGPA ≥ 3.00
  • Maintain GPA = 3.00 in the following semesters
  • Satisfactory research progress
Responsibility • Maximum of 9-12 contact hours per week (labs/administrative tasks)
• Enrollment in courses/research in regular semester (Fall/Spring) is mandatory
Fee Waiver 100% tuition fee waived off
Stipend per Month Rs. 20,000/-
Contract Period Minimum residency of 2 academic years (4 regular semesters)
Terms & Conditions • For Assistantship, NOC/BOND is required.
• Assistantship is subject to satisfactory progress reports submitted by the Chairperson in the mid and at the end of the semester.
• If a student discontinues the Assistantship or fails to maintain the GPA, they will have to repay all tuition fee waived in previous semesters.
