University of Wah (UW) delightfully shares the remarkable achievement of Ms. Misbah Zafar, a 4th-semester student of the Department of Chemical Engineering, who emerged among the top winners in the Entrepreneurial Female Youth Pitch Competition 2026, organized by the Women Development Department under the leadership of the Chief Minister of Punjab.
The Provincial Finale of the competition was held on 08 and 09 May 2026 at Maryam Nawaz Women Complex, Jubilee Town, Lahore, where talented female entrepreneurs from across Punjab presented innovative business ideas and entrepreneurial projects. Demonstrating exceptional creativity and entrepreneurial potential, Ms. Misbah Zafar secured a place among the top ten winners and was awarded seed funding of PKR 1 million to support the development and implementation of her entrepreneurial initiative. The Female Pitch Program was launched to promote women entrepreneurship, innovation, and the inclusive participation of young women in economic and business development across the province. Students from various institutions participated in the final round, showcasing creative, impactful, and forward-thinking ideas.
Another student from the university, Ms. Laiba Ali from the Department of Chemistry, also represented the university in the final round of the competition and displayed commendable dedication and performance.
This outstanding achievement shows the university’s strong commitment to fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and women’s empowerment through academic excellence, mentorship, and student support initiatives.
