University of Wah (UW) formalized strategic collaborations by signing Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with Young’s Muslim Inclusive Education System (YMIES), Ishrat Husain Pakistan Institute of Living and Learning (PILL), and ScholarBee (TechEd) in a ceremony held on 27 January 2026. These partnerships aim to strengthen academic engagement, research, training, inclusive education, mental health awareness, and community outreach initiatives.
The ceremony commenced with formal introductions, followed by a welcome address by Prof. Dr. Amjad Hassan, Director- ORIC, who warmly welcomed the delegations and emphasized the importance of fostering strong linkages between academia and specialized institutions. Senior leadership of UW, including Deans and focal persons for each collaboration, also attended the event.
Young’s Muslim Inclusive Education System (YMIES)
YMIES is dedicated to promoting inclusive education, rehabilitation services, and support for children with special needs. The delegation was led by Wing Commander (Rtd.) Tariq Ikram-ul-Haq Sahib, Chief Patron, and included Dr. Laviza, physiotherapist.
The MoU with YMIES focuses on:
- Facilitating internships and volunteer opportunities for psychology students
- Supporting rehabilitation camps
- Conducting joint surveys on children with special needs
- Sharing data for collaborative research
- Promoting inclusive education practices
The agreement was signed on behalf of YMIES by the Chief Patron and on behalf of UW by Brig. Shajee Ullah Quadri Ameem (Retd), Registrar, University of Wah.
Ishrat Husain, Pakistan Institute of Living and Learning (PILL)
PILL specializes in mental health, psychosocial well-being, ethical research, and community engagement. The delegation was led by Dr. Tayyeba Kiran, Assistant Director Research & Development, and included Mr. Adnan Chauhan, Community Development Expert, and Dr. Shabana Kishwar, Health Economist.The MoU aims to foster collaboration in:
- Student training and mentorship
- Mental health awareness initiatives
- Leadership development programs
- Research exposure
- Community outreach activities

ScholarBee (TechEd)
ScholarBee (TechEd) is a technology-enabled education platform focused on student outreach and admissions facilitation. The organization was represented by Syed Hasnain Ali, Senior Growth Manager.
Under the MoU, ScholarBee will assist UW in:
- Student engagement and outreach initiatives
- Admissions facilitation
- Promotion of scholarship opportunities
- Enhancing interaction with prospective students
The MoU was signed by Syed Hasnain Ali on behalf of ScholarBee and Prof. Dr. Qazi Mehmood ul Hassan, Director of Admissions, UW.
