Department of Economics, University of Wah (UW), organized a one-day capacity-building workshop titled “Conceptual Frame Design with SmartPLS (SEM)” on 26 January 2026. Dr. Fozia Munir, Assistant Professor of Economics, served as the resource person. The workshop aimed to enhance students’ practical understanding of conceptual framework development and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using SmartPLS software. Students participated actively in a hands-on learning environment, receiving step-by-step guidance on software installation, model development, and basic SEM procedures.
Participants engaged in discussions and practical exercises related to latent variables, indicators, and path relationships. By the end of the session, students were able to design basic conceptual models and conduct preliminary analyses. The workshop concluded with positive feedback, successfully bridging the gap between theoretical research methods and applied data analysis at UW.
