Department of Sociology, University of Wah, organized a model presentation competition on 15 December 2025 at Quaid Campus to promote civic awareness and interdisciplinary learning. Students from various departments presented models on key social issues, including road safety, food waste, race and inequality, gender inequality, climate change, and access to education.
Dr. Asim Karim, Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, and Dr. Amjad Hussain, Director- ORIC, attended as Guests of Honor and evaluated the projects, appreciating the students’ creativity, ethical awareness, and social responsibility.
The Mahad Group (BSAF, 4th Semester) and the Zainab Group (BS Economics, 3rd Semester) secured first position, followed by the Umar Group (BS English, Section B) and the Nimra Group (BSAF, 4th Semester) in second place. The Manahil and Zoha Group (BS English) secured third position.
A large number of students and faculty members from different departments attended the event, making it a successful academic and civic engagement activity. At the end of the competition, Dr. Muhammad Rizwan, Chairperson Psychology Department, distributed certificates among the winning participants. Dr. Jamil Ahmed Sheikh, Chairperson, Department of Sociology, expressed gratitude to the Guests, participants, students, and faculty members for their active involvement and appreciated the collective efforts that contributed to the success of the event.
