University of Wah (UW), in collaboration with Pakistan Ordnance Factories (POF), organized the 5th UW-POFs Joint Conference on Academia’s Collaboration with Industrial Organizations (CACIO-2025) on 17 December 2025. The conference provided a dynamic platform to strengthen academia-industry linkages, promote applied research and innovation, and encourage sustainable collaboration aligned with national and industrial priorities.
The event was graced by Prof. Dr. Jameel-Un Nabi, Vice Chancellor, University of Wah, as the Chief Guest. In his address, he emphasized the importance of translating academic research into practical, industry-oriented solutions and reaffirmed the University’s commitment to fostering innovation, developing skilled human capital, and building long-term partnerships with industry.
A key outcome of CACIO-2025 was the signing of Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) between the University of Wah and Startup Coworks and Nets International to enhance cooperation in research, innovation, internships, and entrepreneurial development. The conference featured nine keynote speakers and attracted nearly 300 delegates from leading academic and industrial organizations across Pakistan.
CACIO-2025 was jointly sponsored by Wah Nobel Group of Companies, Wah Industries Limited (WIL), TSI Engineering, Machadev Engineering, Askari Bank Limited, Air Weapon Complex (AWC), Startup Coworks, and Etorqx. The conference was widely appreciated for fostering meaningful dialogue and reinforcing the significance of sustained collaboration between academia and industry.
