University of Wah is pleased to share that Dr. Nasir Mehmood, Associate Professor & Chairperson, Department of Management Sciences, is contributing as a Co-Researcher in an international research project awarded under the Fundamental Research Grant Scheme (FRGS-2025) funded by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE), Malaysia.
The research project titled “Harnessing Blue Economy for Poverty Reduction in Northern Peninsular Malaysia’s Coastal Communities through Financial Inclusion” has been awarded a grant of RM 93,600 (approx. PKR 6.36 million) to Dr. Faiza Saleem, who serves as the Principal Investigator. Dr. Faiza Saleem is a Senior Lecturer (Assistant Professor) at the Graduate School of Business, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) and also a Foreign Adjunct Faculty Member with the Business School, University of Wah (UW). The funding will support one PhD student, data collection, participation in conferences, and publication of research articles.
This collaboration with USM, a globally recognized AACSB-accredited institution, shows the Business School’s expanding presence in international research networks and strengthens UW’s global academic visibility.
