The National Technology Council (NTC) conducted an accreditation visit to Wah Engineering College (WEC), University of Wah (UW), on 24-25 July 2025, to evaluate its Bachelor of Engineering Technology programs in Electrical, Mechanical, and Petroleum disciplines. The distinguished NTC delegation included Prof. Dr. Abdul Aziz Mazhar (Team Lead & Expert of Petroleum Technology), Prof. Dr. Muhammad Aamir (Expert of Electrical Technology), Prof. Dr. Muzaffar Ali (Expert of Mechanical Technology), and Hafiz Ghulam Muhammad (NTC Representative). The team was warmly received by Prof. Dr. Adnan Tariq, Dean Faculty of Engineering, along with senior faculty members and departmental heads.
Over the course of two days, the delegation toured key facilities, including the Central Library, advanced laboratories, and departmental infrastructure. Detailed presentations highlighted the academic programs, curriculum development, faculty expertise, and student accomplishments. The NTC team also engaged in interactive sessions with faculty and students to assess the teaching practices, learning environment, and research culture.
A dedicated meeting with the Industrial Advisory Board offered valuable insights into industry challenges and expectations from future technologists. The visiting team praised UW’s adherence to national academic standards, state-of-the-art laboratories, and its commitment to quality education. As part of the accreditation process, the departments submitted comprehensive documentation reflecting their commitment to continuous improvement and academic excellence. The NTC delegation expressed overall satisfaction with the quality of education at UW. To commemorate the visit, university shields were presented to the NTC members by the Dean, Faculty of Engineering. This successful visit reaffirmed UW’s dedication to achieving national accreditation and delivering top-tier engineering technology education.
