Department of Sociology, University of Wah, promoted experiential learning and strengthened partnerships with civil society organizations by facilitating the participation of fourteen students as paid volunteers in the First Annual Conference on Strengthening the Women’s Agenda, held in Islamabad from 23-25 October 2026, in collaboration with Shirakat Foundation, under the theme “Rethinking the Beijing Platform for Action from the Global South after 30+ Years.”
The participation provided students with practical experience, professional exposure, and opportunities to engage with experts and professionals working on women’s issues.
