The session featured Dr. Samreen Siddique, General Laparoscopic and Breast Surgeon at Quaid-e-Azam International Hospital, Islamabad, who discussed the early signs and symptoms of breast cancer, associated risk factors, preventive measures, screening methods, and available treatment options. She emphasized the importance of recognizing unusual breast changes and seeking prompt medical advice.
The discussion also addressed common myths and misconceptions about breast cancer, encouraging women to prioritize regular screening and to consult healthcare professionals without delay. It also highlighted that early diagnosis and appropriate medical care can improve treatment outcomes and recovery chances.
