Prof. Dr. Amjad Hassan, Director, Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC), University of Wah (UW), represented University in a special PTV News program, “Ehd-e-Rafaqat Kay 75 Saal,” featuring a discussion on “Pak-China Digital Cooperation: IT, Cyber Security & 5G Opportunities” on 24 September 2026.
The program, hosted by Dr. Sajjad Bukhari, brought together Dr. Shoaib Khan, CEC Member, P@SHA, Naila Chauhan, former Ambassador, and Prof. Dr. Amjad Hassan to discuss the evolving dimensions of Pakistan-China digital cooperation.
Prof. Dr. Amjad Hassan shared an academic and research perspective on the growing digital partnership, highlighting opportunities in information technology, cyber security, 5G, digital infrastructure, innovation, knowledge exchange, and youth skills development. The discussion also traced key developments in Pak-China digital cooperation, including the Digital Silk Road, cross-border optical fiber connectivity, telecommunications, cloud technologies, and emerging digital solutions.
The discussion further highlighted the relevance of technological collaboration for research, innovation, capacity building, and future-ready skills, including the readiness of Pakistani universities to benefit from the resources and opportunities available through cooperation with China. Prof. Dr. Amjad Hassan’s participation on the national television platform reaffirms the University of Wah’s engagement with contemporary technological developments and its broader academic and research perspective on emerging opportunities in the digital domain.
