The UW Language Centre, University of Wah, completed a five-week IELTS Training Program aimed at enhancing students’ English language proficiency and preparing them for the IELTS examination.
The program was conducted under the coordination of Ms. Aatika, Lecturer, English and Coordinator, UW Language Centre, who also served as a resource person. Ms. Maeeda also served as a resource person and contributed to the training sessions. The program covered all four IELTS components, Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking, along with examination strategies and orientation to the IELTS test format.
As the concluding practical activity, students visited the Australian Education Office (AEO), I-8 Markaz, Islamabad, on 28 August 2026, in collaboration with AEO. During the visit, students participated in an IELTS mock test and received guidance on IELTS test booking, examination procedures, and related requirements. The activity provided students with practical exposure to a test-like environment and complemented their classroom-based preparation.
The completion of the program shows the UW Language Centre’s commitment to quality English language training and practical learning opportunities.
