Department of Psychology, University of Wah, organized a capacity-building workshop titled “The Contemporary Clinician’s Lens: DSM-5-TR Diagnosis & Evidence-Based Case Formulation” on 22 June 2026.
Ms. Habiba Shaheen, lecturer, served as the resource person, facilitating the workshop, while Ms. Haleema Adnan, lecturer, coordinated it as the focal person. The sessions focused on contemporary diagnostic practices, the application of DSM-5-TR, and evidence-based case formulation through interactive discussions and case-based learning activities. The workshop was attended by mental health professionals, practitioners, faculty members, and students, including Clinical Psychologists and practitioners from Adiala Jail, Rawalpindi; Fatima Hospital, Wah Cantt; Hearing Well and Speech Therapy Clinic, Lalazar, Wah Cantt; and Positive Solution, Wah Cantt.
The activity provided a valuable platform for professional learning, knowledge exchange, and the promotion of evidence-based clinical practice. Participants appreciated the workshop's practical relevance and its contribution to enhancing diagnostic and case formulation competencies in contemporary mental health settings.
