University of Wah (UW) hosted a distinguished group of national and international delegates as part of the 6th International Student Convention & Expo, welcoming approximately 100 participants to its campus on 04 May 2026.
To ensure a well-organized and enriching experience, the University arranged dedicated transportation services for the delegation. The program included a cultural excursion to the historic Taxila Stupa, a renowned site recognized by UNESCO. Delegates showed immense interest in the site’s historical and cultural significance, making the visit both educational and memorable.
Upon their return, the delegation was warmly received by senior University officials, including the Director of the Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC), Amjad Hassan, and Major Shehzad Ahmed, In-Charge of Student Affairs. The visit commenced with a screening of the University’s documentary, providing participants with a comprehensive overview of UW’s academic excellence, research initiatives, and modern infrastructure.
An interactive session followed, during which the Director ORIC engaged with students from Somalia, Syria, Jordan, and Afghanistan, as well as participants from across Pakistan, particularly Sindh. The session served as a platform for meaningful dialogue, academic exchange, and cross-cultural engagement.
In his concluding remarks, Prof. Dr. Amjad Hassan expressed his appreciation for the delegates’ visit and reaffirmed the University’s commitment to supporting students in their academic and professional development. The visiting delegation, especially students from Afghanistan, conveyed their sincere gratitude for the University’s warm hospitality and the well-organized program, describing the visit as both insightful and inspiring.
