Directorate of ORIC, University of Wah (UW), in collaboration with Positive Solutions, organized an insightful motivational session on Stress Management on 11 December 2025. The session featured renowned motivational speaker Mr. Qasim Ali Shah, who delivered a thought-provoking lecture on the causes of stress and effective strategies to overcome it.
The event was attended by distinguished guests from Positive Solutions, including Dr. Attique Raza (CEO), Haji Muhammad Hussain (Chief Guest; Chairman, Master Group of Industries; Founder and Chairman, Positive Solutions; Founder and Director, Qasim Ali Shah Foundation), and Dr. Mohsin Zahid (Director). Prof. Dr. Amjad Hassan, Director ORIC-UW, warmly welcomed them.
Addressing the audience, Dr. Attique Raza highlighted the importance of mental well-being and institutional collaboration. In his motivational talk, Mr. Qasim Ali Shah emphasized that increasing stress in society stems from drifting away from natural living, simplicity, and religious values. He noted that declining trust in Allah, artificial lifestyles, and unnecessary competition have led to growing anxiety and pressure. Citing research, he stressed that individuals who uphold moral values, nurture meaningful relationships, and maintain balance in life experience greater peace and stability. He urged participants to reconnect with faith, avoid materialistic pursuits, and cultivate wisdom through reading works of great thinkers and intellectuals.
The session was attended by faculty members, students from UW, WEC, and MDC, and staff from various directorates and administrative units. A dynamic Q&A segment provided an opportunity for direct engagement with the speaker. The event received appreciation from participants for its practical guidance, motivational insights, and relevance to everyday life.
