A delegation from the University of Wah (UW) visited ACTED Pakistan, Islamabad, on 12 August 2025 to explore collaborations in research, climate action, community development, and skills enhancement. The delegation, led by Prof. Dr. Khurram Shehzad, Dean, Management Sciences, along with Prof. Dr. Asim Karim, Dean, Social Sciences, Prof. Dr. Amjad Hassan, Director ORIC, and Dr. Jamil Ahmad, Chairperson, Sociology & Focal Person UW–ACTED MoU, held a meeting with Mr. Sarfraz Laldin, Country Director, ACTED Pakistan, senior program managers, and technical experts.
The discussion focused on joint initiatives in sustainable water solutions, WASH interventions, waste management, skills training for marginalized communities, and innovative projects such as rainwater and fog harvesting. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to combine UW’s academic expertise with ACTED’s field operations to deliver scalable solutions for Pakistan’s environmental and social challenges.
