Department of Psychology, University of Wah, organized a Capacity Building Activity (CBA) workshop titled “Foundations of Counseling” on 17 June 2026. The workshop aimed to enhance students’ understanding of the fundamental principles, theories, and skills required for effective counseling practice in educational, clinical, and community settings.
The workshop was conducted by Ms. Dimpal Kumari, lecturer, as the Resource Person, while Ms. Rizwana Samreen, lecturer, served as the Focal Person. The session provided participants with comprehensive knowledge of the counseling process, counselor characteristics, essential communication skills, and ethical guidelines in professional counseling practice.
Students actively participated in discussions and practical activities designed to strengthen their counseling and communication competencies. The workshop made a valuable contribution to students’ professional development and understanding of counseling practices.
