University of Wah Science Society (UWSS), in collaboration with the Department of Mathematics, organized the Renowned Scientist Talk on 17 June 2026. The lecture, titled “Geometric Function Theory with Recent General Aspects of Complex Analysis,” was delivered by Prof. Dr. Khalida Inayat Noor, recipient of the Sitara-e-Imtiaz and Pride of Performance awards.
Prof. Dr. Khalida Inayat Noor, who holds a PhD in Complex Analysis (Geometric Function Theory) from the University of Wales, United Kingdom, shared insights from her distinguished academic and research career spanning several decades. She highlighted recent developments and emerging trends in geometric function theory and complex analysis, emphasizing the importance of critical thinking, innovation, perseverance, and lifelong learning in scientific research and higher education.
The seminar was attended by faculty members, researchers, and students from the Department of Mathematics and other departments of the Faculty of Basic Sciences. An interactive question-and-answer session provided participants with an opportunity to discuss contemporary challenges in mathematics, research methodologies, higher studies, and career development.
As part of its commitment to promoting scientific learning, research culture, and academic excellence, UWSS continues to provide platforms that connect students and faculty with eminent scholars and inspire the pursuit of excellence in academic and professional endeavors. The event concluded with a group photograph featuring the guest speaker, faculty members, and students, commemorating a successful and intellectually enriching academic session.
