Department of Computer Science, in collaboration with Computing Society, organized an insightful webinar titled “From Data to Evidence: Uncovering Privacy Risks & Financial Fraud through Social Media Forensics” on 23 April 2026 to foster awareness of emerging technologies, enhance cybersecurity knowledge, and promote learning beyond the traditional classroom environment.
The keynote speaker, Mr. Hamza Mazhar, delivered a comprehensive presentation on the role of social media forensics in identifying privacy vulnerabilities and detecting financial fraud. During his talk, Mr. Mazhar emphasized modern digital forensics techniques and demonstrated how social media data can be analyzed to uncover critical evidence in real-world scenarios.
