On the directives of the Vice Chancellor, a delegation from the University of Wah visited Pakistan Sweet Home to acknowledge its services and explore avenues for collaboration. The delegation comprised Prof. Muhammad Rizwan, Dean Social Sciences; Prof. Amjad Hassan, Director ORIC; Mr. Rehan Farooq, Director IT; and Dr. Noman Aftab, Chairperson, Department of Psychology. The guests were warmly received by Mr. Zamurad Khan, CEO of Pakistan Sweet Home, along with his team. Representatives from Iqra University and Bahria University were also present on the occasion.
During the visit, the CEO shared the vision, mission, and future plans of Pakistan Sweet Home, followed by a short documentary highlighting its history and impact. The Incharge IT presented the proposed initiative “Pakistan Sweet Home and STEM Excellence,” outlining its learning models and implementation framework. Prof. Muhammad Rizwan emphasized the potential role of University of Wah experts in the next phase of the project, while Mr. Rehan Farooq supported the idea of leveraging distance learning to benefit underprivileged children.
Prof. Amjad Hassan appreciated the organization’s remarkable contributions to the welfare of orphaned children and conveyed the commitment of the university’s management to extend full support within its capacity. He highlighted two key collaborative areas: the Digital Learning Initiative targeting out-of-school children across Pakistan and the establishment of a Health Care Center. He also proposed the formation of a broader working group involving higher education institutions for effective planning and execution, a suggestion that was well received. The visit concluded with an invitation to the CEO to visit the University of Wah, which he graciously accepted.
