University of Wah organized a workshop titled “Empowering Women in Leadership and Entrepreneurship: The Role of the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry” on 16 April 2026. The session featured Ms. Naureen Ghaffar, Executive Committee Member at RCCI, as the guest speaker, who shared insights on empowering women in Pakistan’s economic and innovation landscape and highlighted opportunities for collaboration with RCCI.
The workshop was conducted under the Chief Minister Punjab Female Ambassador Program, Women Development Department, Government of Punjab, and was hosted by Dr. Asma Arif, Focal Person, Women Development Department Punjab, along with Female Ambassador Ms. Maira Kashaf Raja. The event attracted around 300 participants from across the country.
Discussions aligned with key United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, including Gender Equality (SDG 5), Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG 8), Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure (SDG 9), and Partnerships for the Goals (SDG 17). The session covered topics such as women’s leadership journeys, business development, startup guidance, and the evolving role of Gen Z in the workforce.
The session was highly interactive, with participants actively engaging in discussions and the question-and-answer segment. The workshop served as a platform for meaningful dialogue, knowledge exchange, and collaboration, emphasizing the importance of empowering women socially, economically, and professionally.
The event concluded with a renewed commitment to promoting women’s participation in entrepreneurship, innovation, and research for a more inclusive and sustainable future.
