University of Wah (UW) proudly announces its official inclusion in the COMSTECH Consortium of Excellence (CCoE), marking a significant milestone in the university’s pursuit of international academic collaboration and excellence.
The announcement follows the MoU signing ceremony held on 31 March 2026, at the COMSTECH Secretariat, Islamabad. During the occasion, the Vice Chancellor- UW, Prof. Dr. Jameel-Un Nabi, accompanied by the Director ORIC, Prof. Dr. Amjad Hassan, visited the office of the Coordinator General COMSTECH, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Choudhary (Mustafa ﷺ Prize Laureate, H.I., S.I., T.I.).
Becoming a member of the CCoE demonstrates UW’s strong commitment to advancing higher education, research, and innovation across member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). The consortium brings together leading universities and institutions dedicated to fostering academic cooperation, knowledge sharing, and capacity building in the Muslim world. As part of its membership, UW has pledged to actively contribute to the consortium’s mission by supporting international students from OIC countries through academic programs, research opportunities, and collaborative initiatives.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Dr. Jameel-Un Nabi expressed gratitude to COMSTECH for the recognition and reinforced UW’s dedication to promoting educational excellence and scientific advancement across OIC member states. He also highlighted the university’s commitment to offering study opportunities to international students, noting that UW currently provides two fully funded scholarships to overseas students every year.
This development opens new horizons for UW in terms of global academic engagement, collaborative research, and student exchange opportunities, further strengthening its position as a forward-looking institution committed to international standards of higher education.
