University of Wah Sports Society organized the Inter-Departmental Smash Shuttle Cup 2025 on 10 and 11 November 2025. The event was held under the supervision of Sports Supervisor Mr. Zahid Mehmood and President Syed Farhan Bukhari, aiming to promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and healthy competition among students from various departments.
A total of 42 teams participated in the tournament, including 14 girls’ singles, 4 girls’ doubles, 16 boys’ singles, and 8 boys’ doubles categories. The event was entirely self-financed through participant registrations, ensuring smooth and efficient management. The opening ceremony was inaugurated by Deputy Director of Student Affairs Ms. Shehla Nazmeen, who commended the Sports Society for its continued efforts in encouraging student involvement in co-curricular and sports activities alongside academic pursuits. Over the course of two days, intense and spirited matches were played with great discipline and enthusiasm. In the boys’ category, Mr. Hamza Zahid (Civil Engineering) emerged as the singles champion, while Mr. Hamza Zahid and Muaz (Civil Engineering) clinched the doubles title. In the girls’ category, Ms. Hira Kamal (Psychology) secured the singles title, and the doubles champions were Ms. Samika Shakoor and Ms. Hira Kamal (Psychology).
The tournament concluded with a closing ceremony graced by Chief Guest Major Wasim, who distributed trophies, medals, and certificates among the winners, runners-up, organizing committee members, and volunteers in recognition of their exceptional efforts and performances.
