University of Wah organized the farewell visit of the Director General (C), Maj Gen Muhammad Kashif Azad, HI(M), along with the formal inauguration of the Wah Business School (WBS) on 13 April 2026. The event commenced with the arrival and warm reception of the Guest of Honor at the VC Secretariat, where he was welcomed by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Jameel-Un Nabi; Registrar Brig. Shajee Ullah Quadri Ameem (Retd); Deans; Directors; and Principal University Officials.
The ceremony proceeded with the official inauguration of the Wah Business School, marking a significant milestone in the university’s commitment to advancing business education and professional development. Following the inauguration, he visited faculty offices and classrooms, where he appreciated the academic environment, modern facilities, and high standards of teaching. He also interacted with faculty members and students, acknowledging their contributions and enthusiasm toward academic excellence.
A comprehensive briefing titled “Institutionalizing the Vision: Progress Update on Strategic Directives” was presented by the Vice Chancellor, highlighting the University’s achievements, ongoing research and development initiatives, and future vision. During the briefing, an official documentary of the university was also played, which was highly appreciated by the distinguished guest.
The Vice Chancellor presented a commemorative shield to Maj. Gen. Muhammad Kashif Azad HI(M) as a token of appreciation. The ceremony also included a tea break, providing an opportunity for informal interaction among attendees. The visit concluded with a group photograph session, capturing the memorable occasion with university leadership, faculty members, and staff. As part of the concluding activities, the distinguished guest also planted a sapling on campus, symbolizing growth, sustainability, and his lasting association with the university.
