After attaining the eligibility criteria, the University of Wah (UW), for the first time, submitted its data for the QS Asia University Rankings 2026. By the grace of Allah, UW earned a distinguished position in the QS World University Rankings by Region: Asia 2026, reiterating its growing reputation for excellence in higher education, research, and institutional development. In the latest regional rankings, UW secured a place in the 761-770 band out of 1,529 universities across Asia and stood 235th among 485 universities in Southern Asia. Within Pakistan, UW achieved 10th position among all small-sized universities.
The QS Asia University Rankings 2026 ranked UW “Very High” in Research Intensity. The University of Wah scored a median score of 5.0 in “Papers per Faculty” well above the regional median of 3.4. Likewise, UW scored an impressive median of 16.8 in “Citations per Paper” , doubling the overall Asian median score. These accomplishments show the University’s steady advancement in academic quality, research impact, and overall performance. They also reflect the dedication and collective efforts of UW’s faculty, staff, and students, who continue to contribute to the institution’s mission of delivering excellence in education, innovation, and societal development. The journey to achieving excellence has merely begun, and UW has a long way to go.
