UW Director QA&E, Brig. Khalid M. Anwar (Retd) and Ms. Syeda Noreen Batool, Deputy Director QA&E participated in ‘Progress Review Meeting and Training of QECs’ from 10– 12 January 2022. The three-day session was organized by Quality Assurance Agency (QAA), HEC in collaboration with National University of Modern Languages (NUML). Around 45 QEC officials from 21 universities across Pakistan attended the event. The opening session was inaugurated by Dr. Shaista Sohail, Executive Director, HEC. The Day 1 activities included ‘Progressive Review Meeting’, an interactive session in which Mr. Shoaib Irshad, Deputy Director, QAA discussed the Yearly Progress Report (YPR) and the targets set for the next year. On the second Day 2, Mr. Asif Hussain, Director R & I Division, HEC, presented HEC methodology on HJRS and Research Publication Verification, while Mr. Habib Ullah, Director Quality Assurance Division (QAD), HEC, apprised the participants about HEC Plagiarism Policy and process of NOC for the Graduate Programs. On the last day of the activity, Mr. Agha Muhammad Raza, Deputy Director QAA, conducted an inter-active session on structure of Institutional Performance Evaluation (IPE) and revision of IPE Manual. In the closing session, Dr. Javed Iqbal, Member HEC, shared his view point on significance of Quality Assurance in higher education and awarded Certificates to the participants.
