The Performing Arts and Entertainment Society (PAES), University of Wah, organized Tamsil-e-Dastan, a two-day national-level performing arts event, on 07-08 January 2026. The two-day event served as a vibrant platform for theatrical expression, artistic diversity, and inter-university cultural exchange, bringing together talented performers from renowned institutions across the country.
The event was graced by Mr. Waqar Azeem as the Chief Guest, along with Mrs. Vice Chancellor, Ms. Amna Jameel, whose presence added prestige and encouragement to the participants. Tamsil-e-Dastan featured a wide range of competitive performing arts modules, including Drama, Monologue, Mime, Dastan Goi, Comedy, Dancing, and Singing, showcasing the creative depth and versatility of young artists.
Participants from Government College University Faisalabad (GCUF), Iqra University, Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University, Rawalpindi, Islamabad Model Postgraduate College, and Revenant Theatre Club actively took part in the competitions, fostering healthy competition and cultural collaboration.The event concluded with an award ceremony recognizing outstanding performances. GCUF emerged prominently by securing eight awards, including Best Male Actor and Best Script. Iqra University won three awards, notably Best Negative Male. Arid Agriculture University received an award for Best Mime Performance, while Islamabad Model Postgraduate College secured three major theater awards. Revenant Theatre Club also made a strong mark by earning six awards, including Best Production.
Tamsil-e-Dastan proved to be a remarkable celebration of performing arts, creativity, and collaboration. The event not only provided a meaningful platform for emerging artists to showcase their talent but also strengthened cultural ties among participating institutions, reinforcing the University of Wah’s commitment to promoting arts, culture, and holistic student development.
