Department of Islamic Studies, University of Wah, to promote meaningful religious education and spiritual awareness, organized an enlightening one-day conference titled "Understanding Qur'an" on 27 May 2025. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members across all departments of the University of Wah and Wah Engineering College.
Dr. Ubaid ur Rahman from the International Islamic University Islamabad was the distinguished guest speaker, who delivered a profound and inspiring talk on the significance of understanding the Qur'an in its original Arabic language. Addressing the diverse audience, Dr. Ubaid emphasized that the Qur’an is not merely a book to be recited, but a divine guide meant to be reflected upon, understood, and applied in daily life.
In recognition of his valuable contributions, Prof. Dr. Jameel-Un Nabi, Vice Chancellor, University of Wah, presented a commemorative shield to Dr. Ubaid ur Rahman. The conference concluded with a heartfelt collective du’a (prayer) for global peace, unity, and the well-being of the Ummah, reinforcing the collective resolve to understand the Qur'an and spread its message throughout the community.
