Prof. Dr. Jameel-Un Nabi, Vice Chancellor, University of Wah, participated as a distinguished resource person in the three-day “Future Leaders” Training Program organized by the Office of Professional Training, Directorate of HR Management and Development, and the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) from 16-18 April 2025. The program aimed to enhance faculty leadership capabilities and promote institutional excellence through strategic planning and academic innovation. The program focused on key areas including leadership development, academic quality enhancements, alignment of research practices with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and strengthening institutional governance structures.
Prof. Dr. Jameel-Un Nabi conducted a thought-provoking session on “Leadership Challenges in Academic Institutions,” highlighting the evolving role of academic leaders in today’s dynamic educational landscape. He emphasized the importance of ethical leadership, strategic vision, and team-building in fostering a progressive academic environment. His session also addressed bridging institutional gaps, nurturing decision-making skills, and cultivating an inclusive leadership culture.
Following his session, Prof. Dr. Jameel-Un Nabi was received by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Shuja Syed, President of IIUI, and was awarded a participation certificate in recognition of his valuable contribution. He also engaged in a discussion with senior IIUI leadership, including Prof. Dr. Zia-ul-Haq (Director General, IRI), Dr. Amna Mahmood (In-charge, Female Campus), and Dr. Shaista Shahzada (Chairperson, Dept. of Physics), sharing insights on institutional leadership and development frameworks.
