Placement Office ORIC, University of Wah, conducted a skill-building session titled “From Campus to Corporate: Mastering Interview & Communication Skills” on 16 April 2025. The session aimed to enhance the employability of final-year students and support their transition from academia to the corporate world. Facilitated by Dr. Sania Arif, Lecturer in the Department of Management Sciences, the session was attended by 211 final-year students from the Faculties of Computer Science, Engineering, and Management Sciences. With a strong focus on real-world application, Dr. Sania covered essential aspects of interview etiquette, including self-presentation, managing nervousness, effective verbal and non-verbal communication, confident body language, and strategies for answering commonly asked interview questions. Prof. Dr. Amjad Hassan, Director-ORIC, emphasized the importance of such initiatives in equipping students with the skills needed for upcoming professional opportunities, particularly the Open House & Job Fair 2025. He also shared feedback from previous corporate participants, highlighting the need for improved self-presentation among graduates. Dr. Amjad encouraged students to polish their professional skills to represent both themselves and the university with confidence and pride.
