Dr. Fozia Munir, Assistant Professor, Department of Economics, University of Wah, participated as a discussant in the AI Festival 2025 roundtable titled “What Pakistan Needs: Conversations with Researchers and Professionals,” held at the Silk Road Cultural Center, Islamabad. The event brought together key stakeholders from academia, technology, and policy-making to deliberate on the future of artificial intelligence in Pakistan.
Dr. Fozia emphasized the need for ethical AI policies aligned with Pakistan’s cultural values and stressed that students should lead AI with knowledge and maturity, not be led by it. She also advocated for integrating AI literacy and critical thinking into education to empower youth and support national development. Her insights were well-received, contributing meaningfully to the ongoing dialogue on shaping Pakistan’s AI future.
