Directorate of Student Affairs, University of Wah, organized a dynamic and multidimensional celebration of student talent, cultural diversity, and inter-university collaboration, UWFest 2.0, on 29 May 2025. The event served as a vibrant platform for students from across Pakistan to come together and engage in a wide range of intellectual, creative, and recreational activities.
UWFest 2.0, organized by various student societies of the university, featured an impressive lineup of events. The Literary and Debating Society (LDS) held a national-level bilingual debate competition titled “صدائے سخن,” drawing participants from various institutions. The YPDC UW Chapter conducted an interactive scavenger hunt, while the Social Science Society (SSS) presented a Social Impact Showcase. The Environmental Society added a creative and eco- conscious touch through its Eco Fiesta and Creativity Arena. The Read Pakistan Society engaged minds through a history quiz competition, and the Sports Society energized the crowd with a Sports Corner featuring activities like dart shooting, cup building, Ludo, and Carrom. Additionally, vibrant cultural stalls representing rich traditions of Pakistan added color and depth to the festival.
The event was attended by participants from institutions such as NUML University, Islamabad; PMAS Arid Agriculture University, Rawalpindi; HITEC University, Taxila; Wah Medical College, Wah Cantt; Abdul Wali Khan University, Mardan; and the Al-Noor Association, along with students from numerous other colleges and academic organizations nationwide. Their presence and active participation greatly contributed to the festival’s lively and collaborative atmosphere.
The day concluded with a colorful and heartening closing ceremony. Dr. Bilal, Director, Student Affairs, along with Deputy Directors of Student Affairs, Engineer Waqas Javid and Ms. Shela, awarded certificates, shields, and words of appreciation to the participants and organizing teams. UWFest 2.0 reflected the values of youth leadership, cultural diversity, and academic partnership, marking yet another milestone in the University’s commitment to holistic student development.
