Biosciences is an interdisciplinary area that executes research and academic excellence in various areas, including biomedical sciences, biochemistry, bioinformatics, genetics, molecular biology, environmental biology, microbiology, plant tissue culture, and biotechnology.

Chemistry

Ongoing research in organic, inorganic, and physical chemistry includes all synthetic and mechanistic aspects, as well as interdisciplinary efforts at the interface of biological and physical chemistry, development of new synthetic methods for the preparation of complex molecules, organometallic chemistry, fabrication of polymeric nanocomposite membranes, characterization and exploitation of natural product biosynthesis and nanoparticles.

Physics

Department of Physics contributes in the area of materials science and nanomaterials, from synthesis to physical and chemical characterization at the micro and nano-scale, including, but not limited to, magnetic materials, ferroelectric materials, polymers, ceramic materials, 3D printing technology, and Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS).

Mathematics/Statistics

The department of Mathematics contributes to various fields like; Pure, Computational, and Applied Mathematics, from coding different algorithms to implementing real-world problems. Students can utilize Lab facilities for different software like MATLAB, MAPLE, and MATHEMATICA for computing purposes. Also, they can utilize complex computational lab PCs for MS Office, Scientific Workplace, LATEX, and Endnote as editors.

The department of Statistics offers research in various areas like sampling, estimation, experimental design, and quality control by using Statistical Analysis of Data. Lab complex offers researchers facilities to use software like SPSS, the R language, for computation and data analysis purposes.
