Dr. Nadeem Omar Tarar, Gandhara Chair-UW was invited by Radio Pakistan Islamabad on 04 May 2023 to speak about the “Buddhist Heritage of Taxila” and the significant role of the Gandhara Chair in creating public awareness in Pakistan. In his talk, he elaborated on the historical importance of Taxila, a hub of knowledge and trade, and the need of the hour to preserve and own this legacy and also the remarkable contributions of Takshasila, one of the world's earliest universities, in advancing knowledge across various disciplines such as religion, medicine, art, and archery.
