UW Science Society (UWSS) arranged a “UW Science Fun Gamma” on 18-19 May, 2022. Prof. Dr. Aftab Sadiq, ex-Principal, Wah Engineering College graced the event as Chief Guest in the opening ceremony whereas Prof. Dr. Jameel-Un Nabi, Vice Chancellor, UW was the Chief Guest in the closing ceremony. Prof. Dr. Uzma Ghazanfar, Patron UWSS and Dean, Faculty of Basic Sciences presented Souvenir to the Chiefs Guests of both ceremonies. The event aimed at honing the intellectual skills of participants via multiple science modules including Brain Teaser, Everyday Science Quiz, Nitty Gritty of Sciences, Scientastic, Lab Lives, Poster Presentation and Sketching and Painting Competition. UW faculty and students along with guests from surrounding universities and colleges including, Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad; Air University, Islamabad; NUML, Islamabad; Women University, Swabi; UET, Taxila; COMSATS Wah Campus; HITEC University, Taxila; Punjab Group of Colleges and Sir Syed Colleges, Wah Cantt attended the event. An array of food and game stalls on both days were set up to entertain student delegates from other institutions. A Painting and Sketching Competition along with Flower Show was also organized on Day-2. Prof. Dr. Jameel-Un Nabi, VC, UW visited the site and lauded the arrangements and artistic skills of students. In the end, he distributed the Shields and Certificates amongst the winners and organizers of UW Science Fun Gamma. The event proved to be successful as it provided students from various colleges and universities an enthralling opportunity to brace their passion for every-day science by participating in various modules.
